About us

Why The Wandering Wag exists

Kelsi founded The Wandering Wag to give animals the freedom and exercise they deserve, in a safe and loving environment.

Years of caring for pets in kennels and veterinary clinics showed her how much every animal benefits from individual attention. So we keep our care personal: we get to know each pet, follow their routine, and get them outside on the trails around Park City, Heber City, and Midway.

“My passion and purpose in life is to care for animals.”

— Kelsi, founder

What makes the care personal

  • We meet every new client first

Every new client has a meet & greet with Kelsi or their sitter before the first visit.

  • We follow your pet's routine

Our new-client form covers feeding, routines, your vet, and emergency contacts, so each visit fits your pet’s normal day.

  • We keep hikes small

Group hikes are a small pack of friendly dogs, and dogs join once we've met them and know they'll enjoy it.

Meet the founder

Kelsi earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Utah, then spent three years as a kennel technician and four years as a veterinary technician, including work in an emergency veterinary setting. She is pet CPR and First Aid certified.

She also offers energy healing sessions as a separate service.

The Wandering Wag provides pet care, not veterinary care.
